About Forbidden Duck (Causeway Bay)

The ambiance strikes a balance between modern simplicity and understated elegance, creating a comfortable backdrop for the dining experience. Moments spent glancing over Forbidden Duck (Causeway Bay) photos found online match the setting—clean lines, warm lighting, and an inviting layout that encourages leisurely meals. Servers navigate the floor with attentiveness that feels practiced rather than intrusive, contributing to a flow that allows each dish to take center stage. The interplay between service and atmosphere quietly shapes expectations for the extensive Cantonese offerings available.

Signature dishes demonstrate a command of traditional techniques while occasionally venturing into inventive territory. The roasted duck, naturally, commands attention with its crisp skin and tender meat, capturing much of the interest in Forbidden Duck (Causeway Bay) reviews from various food enthusiasts. Flavors balance subtly, avoiding overwhelming spices in favor of nuanced depths that reward patients looking beyond initial impressions. However, some of the secondary courses might leave one wishing for a bolder seasoning or enhanced textural contrast, hinting at opportunities to refine the kitchen’s creative edge. Portion sizes and pricing align with typical Cantonese establishments in the district, providing reasonable value for those exploring the menu familiar with this style of cuisine.

Exploring the menu reveals a thoughtful blend of classics and lesser-known dishes, inviting diners to experience a spectrum of Cantonese culinary culture without feeling confined to the usual staples. Although the Causeway Bay location enjoys strong popularity, it maintains a pace that allows conversations to flow easily without the frenetic energy common in other nearby restaurants. Observing general crowd behavior underscores a preference for groups familiar with the cuisine, which can make the setting feel slightly exclusive, though approachable, to newcomers. Overall, Forbidden Duck (Causeway Bay) stands as a solid example of contemporary Cantonese dining, with a few nuances worth remembering from the accumulated insights found in reviews and shared photos across the web.

Great Peking duck. Many different dishes to choose from. It's a big on the pricey side but worth it. The service is great, they are very attentive. It's a quiet mall and even smaller crowds here.

This is my second visits. I don’t understand why there are comments about services but they did well during my 2 visits. Foods are just yummy. The peking duck is way much better than Peking Garden’s. And don’t miss out the rice in duck soup which is damn good. Vege, sweet & sour pork and char siu are simply delicious as well. I booked through OpenRice with 15% off. The manager told me that we could enjoy more discount if we pay through HSBC credit card. Can’t really complain about this kind of service.

Great place to come in big groups, in fact, it’s better to come here in groups of 5 or more because the set menus were made for this. Going with the name of the restaurant, they serve great pecking duck that isn’t too expensive with a nice presentation as well.

Greatest Peking Duck in Hong Kong! Incredibly juicy meat and rich flavours while also being in a great location, sometimes a big crowd but you can still get through it. The staff hardly speak english but they will understand your orders. If you are in Hong Kong, you must try this Peking Duck restaurant! It is delicious!

Walked in on a weekday evening. The place was not full; looked clean at first sight and has a quiet and chill vibe. Friendly and polite staff. Food did not take long to be served after ordering. Tried 2 of their signature dishes which were both delicious. The rice in soup was definitely a delight to try as the fried rice crispy added so much more texture to the whole thing. Highly recommend.

I came here because I wanted to have Peking Duck. We ordered the Peking Duck Half Duck(北京烤鴨半隻), Barbecue Yunnan Black Pig Char Siu(雲南黑土豬叉燒), Xiao Long Bao(上海小籠包), Yu Shiang Eggplant(魚香茄子煲), and Fried Rice with Egg White and Conpoy(蛋白瑤柱炒飯). For two adults, the half portion of Peking Duck was just the right amount. The recommended Yu Shiang Eggplant had a great texture and seasoning, and I really enjoyed it. Everything was delicious, and I’d love to come back again. The restaurant is located on the 10th floor of Times Square, but the elevator to the 10th floor was a bit hard to find, so I got a little lost. I was also able to pay with Amex.
